What you’ll do:

  • Monitoring of Starry’s 24/7 platform; network traffic and alerts
  • Network outage alert response and initial troubleshooting
  • Collaborating with internal and external cross-functional teams to resolve platform affecting issues
  • Ensuring issues are clearly tracked, updated and documented

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking/Mathematics/Computer Science and 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking (routing/switching)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP in internetworking communications
  • Possess the analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to gather, synthesize and summarize data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ​​Be a team player! Be able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in an ever-changing environment
  • Experience with Slack or Teams as main communicaton throughout the company

Experience preferred:

  • Previous NOC experience
  • Cisco/Juniper network certification
  • Experience troubleshooting wireless connections
  • Experience with Jira Ticketing
