What you’ll do:
- Monitoring of Starry’s 24/7 platform; network traffic and alerts
- Network outage alert response and initial troubleshooting
- Collaborating with internal and external cross-functional teams to resolve platform affecting issues
- Ensuring issues are clearly tracked, updated and documented
Experience required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Networking/Mathematics/Computer Science and 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience working in a Linux environment
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking (routing/switching)
- Knowledge of TCP/IP in internetworking communications
- Possess the analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to gather, synthesize and summarize data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be a team player! Be able to collaborate, prioritize, and solve problems in an ever-changing environment
- Experience with Slack or Teams as main communicaton throughout the company
Experience preferred:
- Previous NOC experience
- Cisco/Juniper network certification
- Experience troubleshooting wireless connections
- Experience with Jira Ticketing
